Secret Shopper Report: Wholesale Tool

While we typically prefer ordering tools and supplies from a very short list of favorite retailers and distributors, we occasionally step out of our comfort zone and try out new suppliers.

Our most recent new shopping experience was with Wholesale Tool. Wholesale Tool is a small supplier chain that specializes in industrial equipment and supplies, and they have a great closeout and clearance section.

For our first order with Wholesale Tool, we ordered three tools. A little later, presumably when the order was being fulfilled, we received an email notifying us that the shippment would have to come from two locations, and that there would be no additional shipping fee.

We initially found their UPS flat-rate shipping rate to be slightly on the high side, but not unjustifiably so, especially considering that future orders may be fulfilled from multiple locations as well.

While it may be a while before Wholesale Tool makes it to our short list of favorite online stores, we will definitely order from them again.

    what the heck

They have an even better deal on a clamp set, compared to the one I just got at Woodcraft

Apples and oranges. If that’s the type of assortment that you’re looking for, there’s a similar set that is sold at Lowes.

    Bessey 15-piece clamp set

The Bessey VarioClippix spring clamps and H-style pipe clamps are not included in the lower priced sets.
