To my knowledge, Shaviv deburring tools and accessories are all still made in Israel.
The set is priced at around $18 via Amazon, which is reasonable for what you get. I have yet to find a telescoping deburring tool starter set with 6 blades for less.
If you want to spend less and don’t see the need for a telescoping holder, McMaster Carr part number 4253A16 is a great value Noga-branded set. The price comes out to about the same with shipping.
You can also buy a Mango II handle with 10x B10 blades for $15 via Amazon, but I find the variety set to be more versatile. If or when you need additional B10 blades, that’s when the B10 combo pack set is a great buy. That way you essentially get plenty of replacement blades and a free extra handle. Personally, I prefer the heavier duty E-series blades.

The handles on the the Mango sets are comfortable and nice for folks with large or small hands. On things like aluminum and plastic the blades last for a very long time.
I personally like the blades that can go both directions.

All of the blades swivel, if that’s what you mean. If you mean both ways as in both sides of a hole in sheet metal or both sides of cut metal tubing, B30 is best out of the 6 included with this set, while B10/E100 do well also.
I have more Noga tools and blades than Shaviv/Manga, but haven’t issue with any of them. With Noga, I find myself liking their semi-disposable holders for dedicated tasks.

well yeah they swivel but most styles you have to pull in one direction to make them cut. there are styles that go both directions. yeah i dont actually have a mango set but have used them. I have the red handled shaviv/vargus ones,Mango wasnt out when I purchased mine years ago.

Ah, I see what you mean now. Most deburring blades are symmetrically ground and can be used in either direction, except perhaps for certain specialty sizes. I don’t think I even have any blades that cannot be used in either direction.

I have a similar set, and I got extra blades, some are bi directional and others uni directional. The unidirectional ones shine on long straight edges, like after you cut heavy sheet metal with a sawzall so you can handle it without cutting your hands. The bi directional ones tend to snag, if you will, on the little grooves the blade leaves, while the unidirectional tend not to. Basically, in a situation like that, the bi directional blades work so so either way, and the uni directional ones are great one way, and bad the other.
