I ordered a Skyshalo product from Home Depot, rather than Vevor on Amazon, and was surprised to have received a Vevor product that had shipped via Vevor directly.
The Skyshalo was less expensive, and looked to have less branding.
To my surprise, UPS tracking showed Vevor Technology as the sender, and I received a Vevor-branded product in a Vevor-branded box.

The product itself is sloppily made, but passable. There are a couple of minor issues and it doesn’t hold as deep a vacuum as a stainless steel vacuum chamber I ordered at the same time from a different brand.
This led me to conclude that Vevor and Skyshalo are the same company.
I had thought maybe that Shyshalo and Vevor worked with the same OEM, but Vevor fulfilling Skyshalo product orders strongly suggests they’re both part of the same company.
I’m not happy to have ordered from either brand, but for this specific style of vacuum chamber, there’s little else available for less than $1000.
Looking online, search overviews say that the two companies are similar but different.
But digging deeper, the “Vevor Team” answers Skyshalo product questions in Home Depot product listings.

I don’t understand why there are identical products from Vevor and Skyshalo, but then again some major USA-based tool brands do the same.

In my experience Vevor is a lot like Harbor Freight. Some of their stuff is utter junk, other is nothing fancy but is good value for money. I’ve seen a lot of Vevor stuff I wouldn’t pay a dime for. On the other hand, I found their woodturning tool set to be amazing value. I recently bought a “fryer grease collection bucket”. I have no idea how good it is for kitchen use but I am using it as a debris bin for an Oneida Dust Deputy 2.5 and it’s fantastic for that.
Something like this? I wouldn’t buy it for any sort of analytical work. At that price point I expect junk valves that won’t hold a good vacuum. On the other hand, it’s probably great if you just want to stabilize wood or degas resin.

Justia Trademarks is my often-used source for trying to figure out who owns which brand names. In this case they have no listing for Shyshalo. Under their listing for BOZHOU WANXINGYU TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (the owner of the Vevor brands) there is nothing even close.

Doesn’t Vevor just whitelabel a lot of other tools under the Vevor name? Maybe this is the original equipment manufacturer before Vevor throws their name on it

Is it possible this is like a loophole to get around some sort of exclusivity restriction? X Vevor branded product can only be sold by Y retailer, so we rebrand X product under the Z label and sell it elsewhere?
