Cold Storage Trailer Thumbnail with Stanley FatMax Fubar Pry Bar

I was watching the Cold Storage trailer when HEY, that’s a Stanley FUBAR tool!

The editors botched things a bit, as they show the main 2×4 prying and striking head in the same plane as the pry bar end, when they’re supposed to by rotated by 90°.

Here’s what the Stanley FatMax FUBAR looks like.

I’m not 100% sure what the movie is about, but it seems to be a zombie outbreak movie with one of the older kids from Stranger Things.

There’s some opening of old containers of some kind – hence the cold storage part – and so I’m guessing that’s where the FUBAR comes into play.

The FUBAR is great for prying, twisting, striking, etc. It’s a very functional bar.

Buy it at Home Depot

Hey one of my everyday tools, front and center on a movie poster! Nice to see the Fubar getting some love. With all the twisted studs we get delivered these days, this tool is a necessity.

I use the Vaughan version of this tool, and it comes in handy in a pinch! I’d worry about using it in a zombie outbreak though, as it’s liable to get stuck in them skulls too easily…

You can see at 01 to 02 seconds mark, hanging o the left of the frame that both ends re in the same plane.
Did they mod that tool for any reason ?
    Copyright ?
    Plot necessity ?
it also looks way longer, but the profile is a Stanley Fubar.

I very vaguely remember, whether accurate or not, a rotated version, but it would have preceded the hi-viz version, and I searched a couple of times but couldn’t find any evidence it ever existed.

They exist, I have one. Came to me via dad’s passing. He picked it up at a yard sale, I guess, along with the 24+ shovels with broken handle he had, that I had to find out what to do with. Any one need any shovel heads let me know 🙂

Shovel heads can be used for close quarters combat against zombies. Once.

Find a local welding artist. They love things like shovel heads.

It remembers me of the Stanley Wonderbar, the flat mis size crowbar I loved that thing it was oh so handy when I had to lift the entire wooden floor in our ground floor appartment where we lived 15 times. To do work on all heating pipes and putting in isolation.

I’ve since upgraded to the Hultafors 108 in 15″ size that’s even better. The ends are thinner and more pointy.

I regularly gift one to friends buying their first house.

I buy Wonder Bars, flat pry bars, cats paws, trim bars, crow bars, and wrecking bars at estate sales because they are often cheap and they make great gifts for friends. They are one of those items you don’t realize you should have until you need it.

That sounded vaguely familiar as something I’d do! =)

I might have culled the price (couldn’t find it), but according to my Amazon order history I placed the fulfillment order almost 11 years ago. Thanks for sticking around!
