New Triton Router Table Motor – 3.25HP and fits 4.2″ Lifts

Triton has a new router table motor, TFBR001MOTOR, which has the same 4.2″ diameter as the now-discontinued Porter Cable 7518.

It delivers 3-1/4 HP of power, has a 5-setting speed dial, from 10,000 to 21,000 RPM, and features soft-start, a spindle lock, and 1/2″ collet.

One of the product listings says it fits the following router lifts:

• Rockler Pro Lift (#52429, #55803)
• Bench Dog Pro Lift
• Sawstop (#50464)
• Incra Mast-R-Lift II (#47737)
• Others

It should fit any router lift that can accommodate the PC 7518 or other 4.2″ diameter router motors, but you’ll have to check with your router lift or table manufacturer to be certain.

Triton also has a fixed base for the router motor. You can buy it separately for $72, or as part of a kit for $349.

The router base has a vibration-reducing handle, trigger switch, auxiliary knob-style handle, trigger lock, and depth collar for finer adjustmnets.

It also comes with a guide bush mounting plate for use with US standard-type guide bushings. There’s also a dust extraction port.

The router motor plugs into the handle to enable the trigger switch and provide a useful extension to the motor’s short router table-friendly cord length.
