The Vanilla Ice Project on the DIY Network

Vanilla Ice has got his own show on the DIY Network. The show covers the room-to-room renovation of a 7,000-square-foot Palm Beach mansion. Did you know that Vanilla Ice has been working as a general contractor for 15 years? Neither did I.

Check out The Vanilla Ice Project over at the DIY Network on Thusdays at 9pm.

I’ve watched a few episodes, when I saw the ads for it on DIY I figured it was going to be more of a goofy “home renovation reality” type show. But he actually knows what he is doing and gives out solid advice throughout the show. His crew seems funny and they don’t hide the screw ups along the way, when something goes wrong they talk about it and explain what happened. I enjoy this a lot more than the shows now on HGTV that seem to center on high end real estate and no longer talk about everyday type projects people can do.

i agree, the show was surprisingly good and pretty refreshing considering the usual types of shows you see. He is exremely knowledgeable on landscaping which most of these shows dont ever focus on.

I’m actually very impressed with Vanilla Ice’s new show! He is very knowledgeable and explicit in his explanations and his personality is very ‘likable’, and his crew is funny. I’m going to keep watching!
