Veto Pro Pac, now owned by the same private equity firm as Malco Tools (see Veto Pro Pac SOLD to Private Investment-Owned Malco Tools) has teased that something big is coming. We now know that the “something big” is a new line of Veto EVO tool bags and pouches.
The new Veto Evo tool bags have mounts on both sides to which users can fasten any of the new line of pouches.
The Evo system docks can also accommodate other tools with belt clips, such as tape measures.

I can’t see any other notable differences compared to existing Veto products, aside from the Evo mounting clips.
You can mix and match the pouches as needed.
The setup above features the Tech Pac Evo ($410), a tool pouch ($95 to $125), and what looks to be the large zippered pouch ($95). As shown, my estimate puts it at $600 to $630, depending on the size of the tool pouch (I can’t really tell).
There are several other Evo tool bags, and from what I can tell they’re all appreciably more expensive than the non-Evo equivalents. The price for the smallest bag went from $210 (non-Evo) to $260 (Evo). From what I can tell, the only major difference is that Veto removed the side tool and accessory holders on both sides and replaced them with Evo tool pouch receivers.
This launch seems very underwhelming to me. What are your thoughts?

I’ve not seen how easily/securely this system connects? If its too loose and the fully loaded pouches fall off that’s not good, if its too secure or needs two hands then it might discourage its purpose of removing them at all?
I think this will meet a very specific requirement somebody who wants to walk to site with everything they need, but not on their belt. They then put on their belt pouches, complete work, take them off, reattach them to the pack and walk back off site again?
