I’ve considered purchasing the Vika TwoFold several times now. The next time it pops up on sale, I might just have to pick one up to try out myself.

I purchased this to aid in interior painting of ceilings, upper walls and crown molding, for which it is well suited. It comes with two carrying handles which work well. I like the fact that this has two different height adjustments, tho I don’t see why they couldn’t have placed some more adjustment holes. The overall design and strength strike me as consumer grade rather than pro-grade, the scaffold deck being made of plastic which flexes to some degree… will see how long that lasts. The folding diagonal knee-braces that stabilize the legs don’t seem to want to hook into place on their pegs as tightly as intended… they tend to roll up the pegs as you pivot the braces into place thereby not being as securely locked in place. You have to manually press them onto the pins AFTER you have locked the braces straight.
The 43# weight of this unit is easy enough for me (6’tall x 175#) to handle very comfortably all day.
The first unit I ordered came damaged in shipping, one leg being dented which caused the interior tube to not telescope freely. The replacement unit was promptly shipped out with a return label for the defective unit. The second unit was also dented, but not enough to impede travel… Woodcraft made it right by giving me a gift certificate.
I was disappointed that this is made in Communist China, as I’m aware of how human rights are inconsequential to the Communist Party. I assumed that this was a Scandinavian product by the name… I should’ve known better. Based on that alone I’m going to say that I can’t recommend this to a friend. Really, would a true friend recommend slave made products?
