What We’re Buyin’ – ESEE RAT Izula Neck Knife

ESEE RAT Izula Neck Knife

ESEE’s RAT Izula neck knife is a relatively compact fixed blade knife. The Izula is designed to be a lightweight survival or every-day-carry knife.

While I have quite a few decent multitools and folding pocket knives, I often find myself needing something a bit more robust. About a year ago I entertained the idea of getting a larger fixed blade knife for all around and shop use, but such a knife was too much for my needs. RAT’s Izula, on the other hand, seems to be perfectly sized for casual use.

Ok, maybe this is weird… but I just love it that it comes in pink.

That’s not weird at all – I love color choices!

I’ve actually seen quite a few tactical and tacti-cool products coming out in pink these days.

What’s with the obsession with knives?
    I just don’t get it.

As with other tools, certain applications and activities call for different pocket tools and knives. At this time, I need something a little more robust than a folder or multi-tool blade.

Uthscaedu – Have you ever used one? You probably won’t “get it” until you do.

The big deal about these knives is that they are real workhorse blades but in a tiny and lightweight form factor. They are made from a single piece of steel with a fantastic heat treat and are just VERY VERY tough.

For their size, weight, and price I dont think there is a tougher knife on the market.

These little bad boys hold and edge really well too and what can you buy for $40 anymore anyway? They are a great little hiking/backpacking blade.

    Try one!
