Stuart, that is an awesome deal on the Jawhorse combo’s the lowest I have seen the Jawhorse (RK9000) at Lowes. for $159;, but for $10 more you can get the Plywood Jaw accessory a $60 value. The worktable looks interesting – I have two already – only thing is that they are MDF. I wish that they were wood or Aluminum. I can’t tell from the photos if they are wood or MDF.

Oops, sorry about that, I knew I forgot something! The deals start tomorrow, so I assume the special combos will be posted on the home page. If not, perhaps the pricing will be changed on the product page itself.
To be honest, for an extra $50-60, I would definitely recommend the Rockwell Jawhorse SheetMaster over the Jawhorse + plywood jaws.
As for the work surface, many (most?) these days are MDF. My father’s older WorkMate, which if I recall correctly is made in Canada, has MDF surfaces that are still in great condition. Even premium toolbox manufacturers use MDF for their mobile work surfaces.
