Home Depot and Lowe’s are both holding deals of the day on tool storage products – today only, 11/29/25.
Lowe’s sale is a lot smaller, featuring a couple of NewAge garage cabinet systems and suspended wall shelves.
Home Depot’s sale is massive, featuring Husky and Milwaukee mobile workbenches, tool chest and rolling cabinet combos, garage storage systems, workbenches, accessories, and even some loosely connected products such as Packout tool bags and vacuum bundles.

This seems like a great day to save big on storage products. Not all of the prices are appealing, but some are.
The Husky rolling tool chest and cabinet combo shown above, with more full-width drawers than I would have expected to see, is discounted to $569. The same combo in black is $698.
Black Friday is over, but there are still plenty of holiday tool deals still going strong. You might find out deal guides helpful:

Which is better quality: Husky or US General? I could really benefit from a tool chest while my workbench remains a partial busted desk on some saw horses
Stuart
They’re pretty even with each other. The two brands have different sizes, drawer configurations, colors, and options.
These deals are still going on right now: https://toolguyd.com/lowes-doorbuster-deal-kobalt-rolling-workbenches-2025/
There’s no US General option at HF, only Yukon.
Your BEST option is to make your way to Harbor Freight and Home Depot stores today to get a feel for both brands.
I have had better delivery experiences with Home Depot and even Lowe’s than I have with Harbor Freight, and I don’t have the ability to transport larger tool cabinets home myself. Based on that I lean more towards Husky.
I own smaller Harbor Freight US General cabinets and have tested various Husky products. There are nuances in the user experience. US General is a better value, Husky had a better feel. I prefer US General options in smaller sizes, Home Depot has larger Husky roller cabinets that HF doesn’t.
Hopefully you’re in an area where you can shop around to the different stores.
Black Friday deals are lasting through the weekend unless supplies sell out, and the deals of the day end tonight.
If you’re NOT buying today or tomorrow, we can talk about this in greater depth in a full post sometime soon.
The Husky box in the link earlier in my comment, in dark green, seems to be new for this season. Some of the Lowe’s options might have only been purchased in volume for the holiday season. US General boxes typically have good availability throughout the year, but you might have to wait for certain colors.
Meaning, your options a few months from now, or even after the new year, could be different than they what you can get today.
There’s also a strong chance deal pricing will end soon and not return for a while (Lowe’s says 12/1). Some deals say they’re ending but are discounted for the next leg of holiday sales, and others end for good until the next promo period.
We can help you choose, but doing that *today* while the flash sale is active could be very difficult.

Thanks for the thorough response. I probably can’t get to stores today as we’re returning from vacation later today. I’ve looked at the HF options but nwver really checked out what Lowe’s and HD offer. I probably need more space than I realize so I think getting hands on with somethings before buying would probably be a good idea.
I have the standard variety of DeWalt tools like drills, impact driver and wrench, circular saw, plus some bulky air tools like a framing nailer. That’s on top of the hand tools spread throughout my shop in buckets and bins. I think going with something that had no worktop and instead has more storage would be better. Mobility is also important because I will need to move it around the shop a lot at least until I get a better handle on things
