The Xiaomi precision screwdriver set is made by Wiha, and is a good buy at $25-30.
There are very many precision screwdriver sets out there, and this is one of the better ones I’ve seen. Not to sound cliched, but it’s made by Wiha (for the Xiaomi brand), and so you know it’s good.*

This set is stylishly designed, presumably to appeal to folks who rarely use tools but have developed the need to work on electronic devices.
The kit is said to be suitable for working on: quartz watch, regular household appliances such as cameras, radios, computers, mobile phones, drones, etc., meeting the most daily repair needs.
It comes with a sleek aluminum screwdriver handle and 24 precision bits:
- Phillips: PH000, PH00, PH0, PH1, PH2,
- Slotted: 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 mm
- Torx: T2, T3, T4
- Security Torx: T5H, T6H, T8H, T10H, T15H
- Hex: 1.5, 2.0 mm
- Specialty: Y1, P2, P5, Triangle 2.3, U2.6
This is far from my favorite precision drivers, but it’s compact and seems to be holding up well.

Keep in mind, these are precision screwdriver bits, and the set is intended for light duty and delicate work.
*There are some user complaints in Amazon’s reviews, but it’s hard to say whether they’ve experienced problems with the tools or their expectations were inappropriately matched to the tool’s intended use. I haven’t encountered any issues, but there are some complaints that these bits aren’t of typical Wiha quality.

I’ve had this set for a year or two in my service truck without issue. This is compared to the cheaper security bit sets that I was replacing every few months. My understanding at the time of purchase was that the bits were supplied by Wiha and the other company managed the case and driver. Either way, it was a good buy.
I have not rounded edges on any bits, which I can’t say for other sets. The driver has a rotating end cap and chamfered edges that are good for gripping with pliars for stubborn fasteners. The bits are held in place magnetically and the case has a fancy spring action lock. No bits have ever been out of place while bouncing around the tool box going down a dirt road.

I have the Wiha precision 65pc set (75965) that comes in a metal case with the tiny 1/4″ ratchet and it’s awesome. They call these their “micro” bits, a 4mm hex drive.
This Xiaomi set looks like it might be the same size bits, only coated black? I’ve had no complaints with the standard Wiha silver versions.

That Wiha set is rather all purpose. It sadly lacks several important “ security “ bits to deal with modern electronics ( secure slotted, tri lobe, pentalobe, trox with security hole, etc ) … but maybe they have another kit for that.

I have the large iFixit kit and it is a great bit set. Their drivers (the metal/ aluminum versions) are some of the best for working on smaller items.

As much as I’ve wanted this set I find that the bit sets have a very limited application. They always end up being just a little too short and then the hex part hits the recess. Wish they would make one with like a narrow 1″ round shaft and then transition to the hex.

The Wiha 65 piece set is more complete, but the Xiaomi is compact enough to carry in a briefcase, and the all-metal handle is far better than Wiha’s own.
The 4mm bits are also compatible with the surprisingly capable Wowstick.

I’ve had my set for awhile now and used them somewhat frequently.
I think it’s a good kit, but I wasn’t blown-away by the bits. They’re good, just not “special”. The size marking on the side of the bits is uneven on mine and I don’t know that they fit screws any better than some of my cheap precision bits. I haven’t noticed any wear on the bits yet, so maybe Wiha’s contribution is special hardening?
I know that leading off with criticism, even if mild, might make it seem like I don’t like the kit, but that’s not the case. It’s well-designed and I like having it in my kitchen drawer for quick tasks like fixing glasses, opening up my laptop or changing batteries on my kids toys, etc.
I also think the aluminum handle and pop-up case are nice. I like the magnetized bit retention in the case too. The case insert isn’t aluminum like the sleeve is FYI – just plastic (but that’s ok).
In my mind this kit would be class-leading in the “homeowner/DIY” category (e.g. compare with Stanley, General tools, Craftsman), but not competitive with the main-line Wiha, Wera & Westward precision drivers I keep in my shop (those are all full screwdrivers though, not insert bits).
I don’t regret buying it. I enjoy using this kit. If I lack enthusiasm about it, it’s only because I was hoping the Wiha bits were going to be excellent – which would make this kit a real bargain.

Posting back to offer my now “long-term” review: I like this kit.
The bits still show no sign of wear and I’ve used them a lot. Even though I mentioned in a previous post that the bits didn’t fit screws any better than my cheap screwdriver bits – they do work well and I’ve yet to have a fit-related problem.
Although the center bit-holder piece is lightweight plastic, it has held together just fine.
The bit selection is well thought-out. It basically always has what I want. I’ve been surprised at times when I come across an unusual screw or something very tiny that this kit has a bit to fit.
I think this is a good tool and worth the price. The classic test is whether I would buy it again if I lost it – I would.

what i don’t see mentioned is what the case is made out of . I have had some small driver sets that the case was pathetically weak. after a few uses it is broken. Any first hand comment on that?

I love Wiha. But instead of buying a lot of bits that I’ll never use, I’ve been able to get by with the Klein Tools 32581 Precision Screwdriver. Less than $10.

Anyway, I have micro driver sets from Nanch, via Amazon, which are excellent. The bits are standard size 3/16″ hex, and the driver handles are superb.

I’ve gotta agree with you on the Nanch screwdriver. I’ve purchased that one a couple of times to work on Mac laptops at various places.

These are the two with the standard bit design – they also have a different bit design that’s non-standard, with splines. It’s too bad, because some of those sets and handles look good, too. Anyway, the handle of the larger set it outstanding, and the extension feature built into the handle is great – but sometimes people don’t realize it’s there!

I have this set, bought second one for my friend who works on cameras he loves it.
The slim metal case and the fact that all the bits are hold in their with magnets are the best features.
The bits hold up better than previous 5 euro sets. Those with a yellow case with acrilic lid that always seems to crack.
I find that I don’t often need these but when I do I’m really happy that they are in my desk drawer.
At this price I would recommend it for general use it’s neat

I bought this from Alibaba’s AliExpress site several years ago. I was under the impression this kit is a knockoff, or was made in Wiha’s factory and sold cheaper straight from the factory.
Can anyone confirm Wiha actually produces this set?
Having said all that, I love this set and when I received the package, I recall a certificate that declared the box a winner of innovative design. The box is very cool.
On a side note, AliExpress sells lots of tools that mirror the colors of big name brands, but lack the logo. I always assumed these were straight from the factory..if anyone has time, look around AliExpress and notice how many tools are similar to the major tool brands worldwide.
