Newton, an Innovative DIY Bookshelf Concept

Apr 15, 2010 Stuart 6 Comments

The Newton is a rather nifty bookshelf idea that suspends a few books off the wall with only two L hooks and an old c-clamp. This design also looks to be easily copyable and adaptable. Maybe something similar can be constructed using a modified handscrew clamp? Newton Bookshelf Clamp via DesignSpotter

Ridgid SuperClamp Portable Clamping Work Station

Apr 9, 2010 Stuart 12 Comments

Ridgid just came out with the SuperClamp, robust mobile clamping workstation. The Superclamp has a solid array of user-friendly features, and bears an extremely close resemblance to Triton’s venerable Superjaws workbench. With a jaw capacity of 37-1/2″, and a foot operated clamp capable of exerting 2,000 pounds of force, the SuperClamp will be definitely be a strong competitor to Rockwell’s Jawhorse.

Bosch & Ridgid Slim Grip Small Angle Grinders

Apr 9, 2010 Stuart 7 Comments

I don’t know about you, but except for a chain saw, an angle grinder is about the last thing I want to be more compact and slim. It looks as though I’m in the minority here as both Bosch and Ridgid offer small slim grip angle grinders. Maybe they’re on to something after all.
