Bosch 12V Max Drill Saw and LED Cordless Tool Kit

Over at Amazon, they recently started carrying a new Bosch 12V Max cordless power tool combo kit, GXL12V-310B22.

The new combo kit, GXL12V-310B22 – say that 3 times fast! – is a 3-tool kit that comes with a PS31 drill/driver, Hackzall-style compact reciprocating saw, and one of their new style LED flashlights. The tools are bundled with (2) 2.0Ah battery packs, a charger, and carrying bag.

It seems to be a good well-rounded package, at $199.

$199 doesn’t look to be “hot deal” pricing, and so I’m considering it more as a “gift idea” type of new kit offering. Maybe this will be a regularly stocked kit, but there’s not enough for a prediction.

The drill is Bosch’s tried and true brushed motor model. While I haven’t used their one-handed reciprocating saw, or maybe I have but don’t remember, it seems to have good reviews.

By the way, the bare tool version of the reciprocating saw is eligible for $30 off $149+ savings. So is the LED flashlight. And also a Bosch 1-battery starter kit. So if you don’t need another drill, you can get the saw, flashlight, and single battery starter kit for $124 after $30 off $149 discount. That’s not bad.

Step up to the 3-tool combo kit, and you get a drill, another battery pack, and a carrying bag, for the extra $75.

Or, there’s the PS32 brushless drill kit, which you can pair with the LED flashlight to arrive at a $140 after-discount price.

Or, if you already bought into the Bosch lineup, you can get the PS32 brushless drill bare-tool, and the LED flashlight, and some bits or other eligible accessory over $10 that you might need, for $125 after $30 off $149+ discount.

But if you want a pretty nice starter kit for yourself or a friend or family member, the 3-tool kit seems to be a decent bargain that you don’t have to think about.

Price: $199

I love that little “barrel” LED light.
Use it where the bigger 12v and 18v flip lights can’t be positioned. And it’s got a bunch of useful positions.

That lil Hackzall looks a lot like a blue Hackzall! Such a useful tool! The Fuel is tempting but sooo much larger and heavier too.

I have a corded Sawzall but it rarely comes out. Most of my electrical needs are accomplished with the Hackzall and the one-handed operation is far easier and convenient for many tasks like cutting pipe, drywall, or whatever.
