Price Drop: Bosch DDB181 Compact 18V Cordless Drill Kit

Bosch 18V DDB181 Drill Driver

The good news is that Bosch’s DDB181 compact drill/driver kit has dropped in price to $99 again, but there’s also some bad news: it isn’t eligible for their Spring 2015 $20 off $100+ discount.

If you’re looking for a new compact and medium-powered drill, this is one of the better bargains out there. No, it’s not as high powered as Bosch or most brands’ standard drill offerings, but it delivers enough torque (350 in-lbs) for many light duty jobsite and around-the-home drilling and driving tasks.

While not a cutting-edge cordless drill with notable bells and whistles, it’s a great compact and lightweight model. It’s our best budget pick in this year’s best cordless drill guide.

The product description still says that it comes with (2) 2.0Ah battery packs, and it’s still wrong. If anyone employed by Amazon is reading this, please have that corrected!

The kit comes with the drill/driver, (2) 1.5Ah battery packs, a charger, and a carrying case.

Deal ends… ?? Probably after Father’s Day or when supplies get close to selling out, but it’s really anyone’s guess.

I picked up a CLPK234-181-RT ( DDS181 ,IDS181, 2x 2ah BAT612s, charger and cheezy fabric case) for $130 shipped. The tools had some minor scratches since they’re factory refurbs but so far, I’m extremely happy.

I hope to get a good deal on a Lboxx-2 and make a custom foam insert for the whole kit but I’m in no hurry.
