Wera Zyklop Pocket
Amazon DE (Germany) has the new Wera Zyklop Pocket screwdriver-ratchet tool for considerably less than USA dealers. They are both €85.33 with €12.37 shipping, which should come out to ~$96, plus a little due to conversion fees.
They’re out of stock at the moment, but available for backorder purchase.
There’s always a little extra hassle (and waiting) when ordering tools from Europe, but for some the savings might be worth it.

On SBoTD, Ryobi die grinder for $99 is a great price. I watched it for months and only went on sale twice now (first time was SBoTD a couple weeks ago).
Some of these, like the m12 rocket + 2x6ah, were already on sale and may still be on sale if you miss today’s deal. It was on sale for $199 so not a huge difference today.
KokoTheTalkingApe
Sorry, what’s SBoTD?

Doi! Thanks!

The M12 rocket light with 2 ea. 6.0 batteries was 179 just last week. Still a damn good price!

The way how i got good deal on tools is to scan amazon warehouse deal once in a while for return item. I got makita tools 40% off original and a powermatic mortiser for $470 where $1099 brand new every where else. It has most of the big brands… The only thing i regret is can’t find any laguna tool stuffs there.

I’ve never had the Milwaukee fuel set of tools would love to try one we’ll be using them for form work to build concrete forms

That M18 hammer drill is tempting.

I love mine

The Bosch 2xl vests is a great deal at that price. Don’t be fooled by the size; all the reviews comment that it runs small and the officials sizing chart confirms it’s deliberate.

That hole hawg set is “ok if you need it” but you can get better deals at times – the Packout one for example shows up in sales now and then.

The “Big Hawg” 10-pc hole saw set was on sale many times earlier in the year for $129. I remember it well because I kept looking for a deal on the standard Hole Dozer saws rather than the Big Hawgs and I was frequently disappointed because the Big Hawgs were the ones that were on sale instead. For example, here’s an announcement Stuart made back in May of this year:
https://toolguyd.com/home-depot-milwaukee-tool-deals-051822/
I’m not sure what those go for today but for quite a long time you could get the whole set for $130 as they were nearly always on sale.
Stuart
Exactly. But the question is – are we going to see better deals over the next few weeks?
$160 is a good price, and $129 is better, but what price can we expect to see in November?
fred
Waiting for a better price is always a conundrum. If you have use for a tool now or near-term then you take advantage of what sales are available rather than hope for something better.
The inflation we’ve been seeing puts some folks who have the cash in an almost buying frenzy with the expectation that if they wait the price might skyrocket up. But there are other forces at work that may help incentivize upcoming and holiday sales. For example, the $ has been gaining against the Yuan. Yen and Euro – and some of that exchange-rate advantage may get passed on to us consumers of foreign-made goods. Then, there is the apparent slowdown in the housing and renovation market that could translate into lesser demand for tools and greater promotional deals to sell them. With interest rates moving up, increased carrying charges on inventory might also incentivize some sales.
Anyway, I’m hopeful that we might see a rosier holiday sales season – but meanwhile will jump in sooner for gift-buying if I see something that looks like a good deal.
MM
Yeah, that’s the big question. A lot of tools have crept up in price over the last few several months.

I just got an email from Woodpeckers. Most of their pricey tools are about to become pricier effective 9/26. Eyeballing their list of perhaps 50 or more items – it looks to be something like a 10% increase. Some of their pricier router tables are going up by over $200
fred
Emails this morning tout:
A tiered sale om Makita ($25 on $199, $50 on $299 or $75 on $399) using code MAKITAFALL at Acme Tools
https://www.acmetools.com/
$20 off any order over $199 at ToolUp – using code FLASH20

My bad! – Stuart already posted about the Acme Deal

Good timing – looking for the M12 3/8 crown stapler. Good enough sale to pull the trigger.
