Ryobi says that they’ve got the best deals of the year, today only (12/5/25) at Home Depot.
I took a look, and there really are some substantial values and deep discounts on dozens of Ryobi cordless power tool deals. The deals mainly feature Ryobi 18V cordless power tools, but there are some USB Lithium and 40V outdoor power tools as well.
The online-only deals end at 3am ET 12/6/25 unless supplies sell out sooner.

Hmm. Non-dispensing scrubber kit for $119, vs dispensing kit plus extra scrubbing pad for $159. There’s also a non-kit bundle with the hand scrubber and polishing pads for $199.
I think I’m going for the dispensing model, if only because it can be used with hex or Ryobi triangular attachments. Although, the telescoping USB Lithium model is probably going to be better for hex attachments if that’s needed in the future.

Near the bottom of the page they have made a listing mistake. They have a thumbnail photo of a right angle ratchet (PRC01 I think), but the listing description and other photos are for a different product: The 4 1/2″ Circ Saw (PCL400) with 2Ah batter, charger, and a freebie marker all for $49.
That’s a pretty good deal and I went ahead and picked it up on prospect as I had been eyeing that 4 1/2″ saw for quick and dirty sheet good and 2x processing. We’ll see what actually arrives in the mail!

Ah! I was looking for the circular saw kit but didn’t see it. They had an image mixup when I posted about it a month ago, and it looks like it was never fixed.
This deal bundle does look to give you the circular saw kit and bonus marker.

Nice find! I ordered one as well…I mean w/tax its $52 but for a similar use to cut up pallets and scrap, makes a great gift for someone I know that gets scraps to burn in a barn wood stove. Wouldn’t have caught that with the ratchet driver image.

Been watching for the soap dispensing scrubber to have a sale for a while. This is the only one I’ve seen. I had to go for it as well.
119 isn’t bad for the non dispensing, but when you factor in the $25 for the 11″ attachment included with the soap dispensing it almost nets out. And the non dispensing ones go on sale more often.

For $97, a drill, circular saw, level, hammer and all the other included stuff is something that a person getting their first apartment could use, including what you need to put IKEA stuff together.
I like the price and what you get.

Are their batteries still as bad as they used to be?
I have 18/40V Ryobi batteries and compared to anything else like Bosch or DeWalt they have a very high failure rate.

I still have some of the gray Lithium+ batteries kicking around from 10 years or so ago when I was regularly using a handful of Ryobi tools for work, but I’ve also had some of the basic black batteries crap out much sooner – these were mostly freebies that came with household/lifestyle products that didn’t see nearly as harsh of use conditions.
There’s a big jump in performance with the premium batteries too – Ryobi has since debuted a third line of even higher-end batteries, but since these days I’m just using them for vacuums and tire inflators and the like I’ve never justified the cost to test them out.

I haven’t had trouble with the 18v batteries with the exception of the 1.5 ah P107 (I think) batteries, I had a couple of those and they all died. I think I remember reading somewhere those were defective for a couple years, but the ones I had would have been bought in the late 2010s.

I haven’t ever had any of the batteries literally die. I’m using 4ah that are 10 years old. Do they require more frequent charging? Yes.

The 40v batteries seem to like to catch fire while sitting on a shelf, it happened to a friend of mine and I’ve seen a bunch of more fires on reddit.
The 18’s on the other hand are stable as rocks. I have some first-gen units from 2013 still in service.

I have that little cordless screwdriver for installing ceiling lights and fans, it’s perfect for driving machine screws one-handed.

Highly recommend the Ryobi 18v little square tire inflater for 20 bucks. It has digital gauge with setable pressure. You can just connect set the pressure and come back when it done. A word better than the old stick one with manual gauge.

Have you seen the expand-It attachments on sale anywhere? I’ve been looking for the sweeper attachment, but it always seems to be full retail price everywhere.
