Deal: Stanley Powerlock Tape Measure Set for $10

Stanley PowerlockTape Measure Set

A couple of years ago I bought a Stanley 25-foot Powerlock tape measure (review). It’s a no-frills tape measure that just plain works. There are no gimmicks, no grippy overmolding, and no fancy features. According to Amazon, I paid just $8.43 for it.

Right now, Home Depot has this 4-piece Stanley Powerlock tape measure set for $9.88. This package deal returns every year, and includes 25ft, 16ft, 12ft, and 3ft tape measures.

I bought a set of these two years ago, and if I recall correctly, the 25ft tape is made in the USA of global and domestic parts, while the smaller tapes are made overseas. For $10, I definitely got my money’s worth.

This set is a Home Depot special deal for the 2013 holiday season and is unlikely to return until next year.

I really like the keychain tape. The home depot hdx tape I got even though twice the length just isn’t as great as the little Stanley.

Idk Kevin, I have fifty11 of ’em, and had to stop in HD anyway, so I was going to grab a set for no good reason. They were sold out. Maybe a sign I have too many? 🙂

No matter how many tape measures I have, I can never find the one I want.

I have a larger shop with tape measures strategically placed always within reach. It drives my father crazy. While visiting, he gathers them up, one-by-one, and put them into the same drawer in my tool box…..It drives ME crazy.

Agreed, never can have enough tape measures!

This is an awesome deal. I’m surprised that Amazon doesn’t have a better deal for a set though. I just ordered a set online from Home Depot.
