Leatherman Wingman Multi-Tool Fanned Open

Father’s Day and graduation day are both coming up, and there’s still plenty of time to shop for thoughtful and practical gifts. In my opinion, one of the best gifts you can give is a Leatherman multi-tool. They’re packed with functionality, they’re durable, they’re sturdy, and they’re something almost everyone can use.

Leatherman’s Wingman multi-tool is currently just $22 via Amazon. It’s a great option for a first multi-tool, given its low price and how it doesn’t at all feel cheap or flimsy. Here’s a (not so quick) comparison I put together about the Wingman and slightly pricier Sidekick.

I have two Wingmans myself, with one in the car and one in the kitchen. The best feature is the clamshell package opener, but I tend to use all of the functions occasionally as well. When it comes to EDC (everyday carry), I tend to travel with a Wave, Charge TTi, or OHT.

If your budget is in the $50+ range, take a look at some of our other multi-tool reviews. As you can imagine, higher priced multi-tools often more features and more premium materials.
