Dewalt “Bolt-On” 12V Max Promo – FREE Battery with Purchase

Dewalt 12V 2Ah XR Battery Pack

Over at Amazon, there’s a new promo where you buy a select Dewalt 12V max power tool, kit, or combo kit, and get a free 2.0Ah battery. You add the battery to your cart, along with the tool you want to buy, and the discount is applied at checkout.

This promo actually appeared earlier this month, and lasts thru October 31st, 2015. But at the start of the month, Dewalt’s 12V Max LED flashlight was one of the eligible tools, and so the worklight and battery very quickly sold out. Now the battery is back in stock, and so the promo is live again.

The options are worth looking over, but in case you don’t want to click through to the Amazon deal page, here’s what they are:

  • DCK210S2 screwdriver & impact driver combo: currently out of stock
  • DCK413S2 drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, LED worklight: $239
  • DCD710B drill/driver bare tool: $90
  • DCF813B 3/8″ impact wrench bare tool: $99
  • DCF610B screwdriver bare tool: currently out of stock
  • DCS310B reciprocating saw bare tool: currently out of stock
  • DCF815B impact driver bare tool: $102

Just because an option is out of stock and unavailable now, doesn’t mean it won’t be replenished or available for backorder before the end of the promo.

The 12V Max 2.0Ah Li-ion battery pack typically retails for about $46.

Buy Now(via Amazon)

In order for a tool to be eligible for the promo, it must be sold and shipped directly from Amazon. The same goes for the free 12V Max Li-ion battery pack.

Although I already know the answer, who also is keeping their fingers crossed and hoping for a new and expanded lineup of Dewalt 12V Max offerings? C’mon Dewalt, I want to see new brushless drills, a mini circular saw, a jigsaw, and lots of other goodies.

That Dewalt fans and 12V Max users are frustrated at the lack of expansion of the product line.

I think the 12v line is just going to see the occasional tool added. Who knows I could be wrong. I never expected Makita to change up their 12v line. I wonder if companies just don’t want to attempt to compete with Milwaukee or Bosch on 12v tools they have the largest selections out of all of the brands. I know some people hate the grip they use on their 12v tools I don’t really mind it and like the compact size.

They need a bandsaw like Milwaukee badly. Been waiting forever.

I prefer 18/20 Volt tools. with compact batteries on them they are usually just as compact, as much capability or better – and I don’t have to alternate battery sources.

granted the big companies have chargers that deal with both. and 12 volt might have some merits.

but those same tools – I prefer in 18. I do wish dewalt would make their version of the MAC cordless ratchet – which is 12V, but I’d also like to see that in 18V.

I’m thinking of replacing my PC 12v Max tools with DeWalt, so I definitely hope they expand the line. The PC tools are great, but all I have are the two 1.3 Ah batteries that came with the set (which only set me back $36). I just left the Post Exchange, where I bought six DCB120 batteries for $36; they aren’t the latest and greatest and were manufactured four years ago, but I can’t argue with the price. Now I need the charger and a tool or two to use them with. Next stop is Lowes…hope to find something approaching a deal on a combo or bare tool.
